Dining United: October thru November

Local restaurants are getting ready to serve you and United Way from October thru November! Participating restaurants will support United Way funded programs and agencies by donating a portion of the proceeds they receive from food sales on a special day or menu item. Meet the Brewer: Oct. 6th

Join us at the Lake + Co Shop on October 6th for a unique downtown experience and networking event. This months Meet the Brewer is yet to be decided, so stay tuned as we search for our next brewer! Meet the Brewer features a Minnesota brewer monthly during First Friday where people come to sample brews and donate to United Way's annual fund to help local programs and agencies in the Itasca Area. Learn more.

United Way and Greenway High School seek Promise Fellow candidates
Do you know a recent college graduate looking to make a difference in the lives of young people? United Way is looking for qualified candidates to serve as AmeriCorps Promise Fellows in the Greenway High School. Fellows support students 6-10, focusing on the areas of academic achievement, attendance and behaviors. They also work closely with the Response to Intervention team, after school programming, service learning opportunities and much more. Learn more. 


United Way Mobilizes Caring Power During Day of Action

On June 21st all over the world, more than 30,000 volunteers in over 400 communities set out on a mission to create meaningful work for the communities in which they live. On a local level, over 122 volunteers of all ages fanned out to places like Lion’s Park, Lundeen Ball Field, and the Second Harvest Food Bank. Read more.
